Inception
of Eco-club
Environment
and wildlife protection has become the concern of all intellectuals,
philosophers and citizens across the world during the past two decades. The
population explosion and proliferating hazardous development in the industries
have polluted the environment to an extent that it has become a danger not only
to mankind but to the animal world and plant kingdom also.
Keeping
in mind that the education is the powerful tool to spread the awareness towards
environmental issues, our school took a step forward and initiated to set up an
environment club to shape young minds.
On
5th of May 2009,. Eco-club was formally inaugurated by the Principal
of our school, Mrs. Anita Sharma by lighting the lamp. Members of the club relieved
the ‘Chipko Andalon’ in the assembly in dramatized form. Children pledged to be
TARU MITRA for their life and conservation and protection of environment
because the first priority in their life. Eco-club places a lot of emphasis on
the development of interest and enthusiasm among children for the protection of
their surroundings.
